Whimsical Woolies is a shop where it's hard not to find something that you love
The artist, Maureen, has been in the business of making these wonderful wool wrapped creations for over 27 years.
Each piece is made from a wire base and wool as the body. She wraps the wool over the wire to create the main body of each creation and then adds needlefelting technique to acquire the features she desires for ears, face, etc.
Her favorite item of all time to make is dogs!
She thinks that it is so much fun getting the pictures from customers of their buddies and then recreating a miniature version of them.
Her work has been featured in several national magazines over the years such as Art Doll Quarterly, Country Living, Country Home, Traditional Home, Wild Fiber, Domino Magazine and Early American Life.
